INGREDIENTS 2 servings
2 (4 ounce) filet mignon steaks
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper to taste
salt to taste
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4 cup dry red wine
generous pinch of brown sugar
DIRECTIONS
Sprinkle freshly ground pepper over both sides of each steak, and sprinkle with salt to taste. Then let them rest room temperature for 20-30 minutes
Heat the grill Place steaks on hot grill, and cook to desired doneness.
In the meantime, mix the balsamic vinegar, wine and brown sugar in a pan let it cook down until it is thicker.
Remove steaks to two warmed plates, spoon one tablespoon of glaze over each, and serve immediately.
