Vi's Scotcharoos

 Ingredients:
One and a half Cups of each:  Sugar, Light Karo Syrup and Peanut Butter
8 cups Rice Krispy Cereal
6 0z bag of butterscotch and semi sweet chocolate chips melted together in a microwave put them on for 15 seconds at a time until they are smooth and ready to spread--HINT if you melt for too long it will burn so only do 15 seconds at at time stirring between each time

Bring sugar and syrup to a boil--take it off the heat as soon as it starts to boil, do not boil for long or it will not be chewy, it will be hard--YUCK

after you take it off the heat stir in the peanut butter until it melts and is smooth.
add cereal and mix well then spread in a cookie sheet that's has been sprayed with PAM or cooking spray you prefer

Spread melted chips on top, let it sit for at least a half hour before cutting into them.

The first time I had these, Eric's mom Vi made them and I thought I had died and gone to heaven, they have been a family favorite all these years.
